“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is a popular manga series written and drawn by Koyoharu Gotge. It was published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shnen Jump magazine from February 15, 2016 until May 18, 2020. The series follows Tanjir Kamado, a young boy who becomes a demon hunter when his family is brutally assaulted by demons and his younger sister Nezuko is transformed into a demon herself. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps, a group committed to killing demons and defending humans, in order to discover a means to change Nezuko back into a human. As of September 2021, the series has been divided into 23 volumes.

The series has been converted into an anime television series and multiple feature films, and it has become a cultural phenomenon in Japan. It’s well-known for its high-quality artwork and powerful action scenes, as well as its well-developed characters and emotive storyline. It’s also well-known for its profound themes of family, sacrifice, and the relationships between loved ones.

The manga series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” contains 202 chapters in total. These chapters were published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shnen Jump magazine from February 15, 2016 to May 18, 2020, and were compiled into 23 volumes.

Japan’s “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” manga series is written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotge. The title directly translates to “Blade of Demon Destruction.” The novel’s protagonist is a young boy called Tanjiro Kamado, who becomes a demon hunter when the demons that attacked his family transform his younger sister Nezuko into a monster. This incident sets the tone for the remainder of the tale. As of July 2020, the manga has been collected into 21 volumes since it was originally published in February 2016 and ran through May 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga is published in English by Viz Media; however, Shueisha distributes the manga in Spanish and English simultaneously with its release in Japan on their Manga Plus platform.

The original manga has been adapted into an anime series by Ufotable, which will air from April 2019 until September 2019. During the last episode of the series, it was stated that a sequel feature film will be released in October of 2020.

As of May 2020, the manga has a cumulative circulation of more than 80 million copies, including its digital version, making it one of the most popular manga series. Meanwhile, the anime series has received several awards and is regarded as one of the best made in the 2010s.

 

Demon Slayer Story
Tanjiro Kamado is a young boy with a nice heart and a smart intellect who lives with his family and earns money by selling charcoal during the Taisho period of Japanese history. The narrative takes place in Japan. Everything changes when demons attack and slaughter his family. His family is no longer safe (oni). Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the sole survivors of the disaster; however, Nezuko has now converted into a demon and, strangely, still displays indications of human emotions and intellect. Tanjiro is the only survivor. Following that, Tanjiro changes himself into a demon hunter in the hopes of returning Nezuko to her human form and preventing others from feeling the same grief that he and his sister had.
